High End Foundations

Trying to find the right foundation for your skin can be very difficult.  You have to ask yourself various questions such as light, medium or full coverage, and whether you would like to have a matte or dewy finish. My favorite foundations are shown above because they all do different things.

Glowing Skin

Highlighting and dewy skin are everything right now! Everyone wants their skin to look like its glowing from within and there are many products to help you achieve that look. Liquid highlights such as the new Cover Fx drops can be used to mix in with your foundation to give your skin a healthy glow all over the face. Cream highlights such as Benefit's Watts Up can be used on the high points of the face before any powder is applied. Lastly powder highlighters can be used on top of cream highlighters to set the cream or can stand alone over foundation on the tops of the cheek bones, chin, cupids bow, bridge of the nose and forehead. Some of my favorite highlighters are listed below. These highlighters can be found at Sephora and Ulta stores as well as online at sephora.com and ulta.com

Artis Brushes

Artis brushes are new game changers in the makeup industry. The oddly shaped brushes blend out liquid, cream and powder flawlessly. The technique used to apply products with these brushes is vastly different than your typical brush. These brushes were made to apply products directly on to your own skin, unlike other brushes which were made to apply products on others. The microfiber bristles smooth foundation, eyeliner or lipsticks with ease. When using an Artis brush, you should use windshield wiper motions rather than buffing in a circle. Although the price of these brushes are high, they do not soak up product like a beauty blender. A little foundation goes a long way with these brushes. The microfiber bristles are best cleaned with the microfiber cloth and gel without any water. The more you spend on these brushes the less you spend on foundation. The Artis brushes can be found online at artisbrushes.com

L'OREAL Pure Clay Masks

L'OREAL's new pure clay masks are hidden gems at the drugstore. Each clay mask targets specific needs and they actually work. The red clay mask is to exfoliate and refine, the charcoal mask is used to detox and brighten, and the eucalyptus mask is used to mattify and purify. The masks leave your skin feeling clean and clear in only ten minutes. These masks can be found at any drugstore such as Walgreens, CVS, Walmart, Target etc.

Kylie Cosmetics has come out with an eyeshadow palette! The palette is called the bronze palette and the packaging is just as beautiful as all of her packaging. Included in the palette is seven matte shades and two shimmers. Kylie Jenner normally keeps her eye looks pretty neutral, which comes through in this palette. If you do not like warm toned shadows, then this is not the palette for you. The palette contains different shades of brown, one black shade and an orange shade. Orange eyeshadows are used to make other colors pop a little extra. The black shade is not too pigmented, which means it would need to be applied multiple times. The shimmers are more subtle for an overall sheen. Overall I think this palette is great for people who love warm toned eyeshadows, and prefer more natural looks.
