Happy New Year! 2016 has definitely been a year to remember for me. So many amazing things have come and gone and I have learned so much in a short period of time. Of course it had its ups and downs but don't we all have to roll with the punches. Let's start with a little recap.

May of 2016 I graduated from LSU. Yay for finishing a five year chapter of my life! I graduated in Nutrition, Health and Society. Graduation also meant the end of my college sports career. Of course I couldn't just play one sport in college whats the fun in that! Whether it was volleyball or track, I wouldn't trade those fun yet exhausting times for anything! After graduation I had another exciting adventure. I was getting married in June.

June 18, 2016 was the best day of my life. I got to married my best friend. Our wedding was everything and more I could have imagined. Although I tried to keep my self busy by doing my own makeup and touch ups on my bridesmaids I was still freaking out. After basically passing out at the alter, I regained my composure and we had the best night of our lives. After our wedding we went to Bora Bora and we wished we would have never came home. It was so stunning and so much better than we could have imagined.

August of 2016 I was set to enroll at Aveda Institute. I was also working on a beauty blog I never thought I would release. With the encouragement of my family and friends I started my website! It has been an interesting journey to learn more about blogging and social media. After starting my blog I started school at the Aveda Institute South in the Esthiology program. Im currently halfway done and I am having a blast learning all things beauty.

2017 is going to have a tough time competing with 2016 but I am excited for the future. I graduate from Aveda in April. I hope to find a job at a medical spa after I become a licensed esthetician and professional makeup artist. As far as my blog I would like to incorporate more makeup looks. I am definitely going to start adding swatches for lip products and eyeshadow products. I am so excited for the new year and can't wait to grow as a blogger and soon to be esthetician and makeup artist!
